Rafael brings with him 20 years of experience in the various positions across the banking and consulting industries.
As an Investment Advisor with Makara Capital, Rafael advises on deals and transactions related to the European markets.
Rafael was Relationship Manager at Credit Suisse in Singapore under the International Wealth Management division, where he managed portfolios of clients from Portugal and Portuguese speaking countries including Brazil, Angola, and Mozambique.
Prior to that, Rafael was Portfolio Manager for Banque Privée Espírito Santo in Switzerland where he managed CHF1 billion in equities, bonds, and alternative mandates.
Rafael worked as a Trader at the Espírito Santo Bank in Miami, Florida where he brokered and dealt in bonds and equities.
He also served as a Project Manager in the International Division of Banco Espírito Santo in Lisbon, Portugal.
Earlier on, Rafael worked at Arthur Andersen in the BPO and Consulting divisions.
Rafael is a CFA charterholder and holds a Bachelor in Business Administration with a major in Finance from the European University in Barcelona, Spain.
