Mr. Robert P.

Prior to joining CalPERS in November 2009, Mr. David served as Chief Deputy Director of the California Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) for four years, overseeing all four major operating divisions and legal, administrative and legislative units.
Before his OSHPD service, he was Regional Vice President of the Hospital Council of Northern and Central California, Assistant Secretary at the California Health and Welfare Agency, and senior negotiator for the California Medical Assistance Commission.
A political science graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, Mr. David also received senior executive training at a Harvard University program for state and local government.
