Gualberto Rodríguez, is a food industry veteran and lauded voice in the Puerto Rican entrepreneur and nutrition security communities, currently serving as co-Founder and Managing Partner for Semillero Partners.
Passionate about driving a more sustainable food ecosystem by investing in diverse, purpose-driven entrepreneurs, Rodríguez currently focuses on providing business management, strategy, operations, marketing, and team building expertise for Semillero Partners and its portfolio companies.
Seeking impact, Rodríguez serves in several roles across the food and nutrition ecosystem, including as co-founder and chair of Nutriendo PR, a nonprofit addressing health inequities in Puerto Rico by strengthening the nutritional security of its residents.
He also serves as chairman and co-founder of Grupo Navis LLC, a privately held, Puerto Rico-based business group focused on scaling wellness businesses for profitable growth and social impact.
As former president of Caribbean Produce Exchange, Inc., Rodríguez dedicated more than 15 years managing the company, establishing himself in the food industry from early in his career.
He served as President of the Puerto Rico Chamber of Food Marketing, Industry and Distribution, and has been an active member of the Puerto Rico chapter of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO) for 15 years.
Recognitions include “Top Management Award for Agribusiness” by the Puerto Rico Association of Sales & Marketing Executives, “Citizen of the Year” by the Puerto Rico Chamber of Commerce, and “40 Under 40” by Produce Business Magazine.
Rodríguez has an MBA from the Yale School of Management and B.A. in Economics and Political Science from Fordham University, where he serves on the Board of Trustees.
