SOPROMEC Participations SA is a Paris-based private equity firm established in 1964 and controlled by Pélican Venture SAS since 2007. SOPROMEC stands for Société de Promotion Economique. Pélican Venture is the family holding of the Gorgé family, founders of the French chemistry and robotics group Finuchem. SOPROMEC's past majority shareholders have included Axa SA (XP: CS), Banque Worms and the French co-operative bank Crédit Coopératif (part of the Banques Populaires group).
