Mr. Teo Tijerina is Venture Partner at Cielo Mgt., LLC.
Prior to joining the Cielo team, Mr. Tijerina co-founded and served as Executive Director of EDCO Ventures from 2005-2012, and he now serves an advisory role on the Board.
EDCO is a 501(c)(3) business development organization that partners with universities, government laboratories, risk capital, and individuals to commercialize technologies and launch innovative business ideas in economically distressed communities.
In 2004, he co-founded Innovei International in El Paso, Texas.
He remained an active investor with Innovei until he liquidated his ownership in 2011.
His prior experiences include several technical and managerial roles at Dell, Conexant, MFI International, and Dow Chemicals.
Mr. Tijerina received a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from Stanford University, and he was also a graduate student in the Master of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies program at the University of Texas El Paso from 2002-2004, where he focused his studies on economic development and the interactions between business and society.
