Dr. Merigan Chairman of the Immunology AIDS Advisory Board for Bristol Myers Squibb Corporation from 1989 to 1995 and Chairman of the Scientific Advisory Board of Sequel Corp.
from 1993 to 1996.
He received a BA from the University of California at Berkeley and an MD from the University of California at San Francisco.
