Prior to founding Seagate Global Advisors in 1996, Mr. Lawton was Senior Vice President, High Grade Fixed Income at Trust Company of the West where he co-managed the sovereign strategy with Douglas Metcalf; Chief Investment Officer, Global Fixed Income at Nikko Capital Management; Vice President of Global Proprietary Trading at First Interstate Bank co-managing a $20 billion derivatives portfolio with Michael Reveley and Douglas Metcalf, and Manager of Investments at Fireman's Fund.
Mr. Lawton received his MBA in International Finance from Columbia University; MA in International Economics from The Monterey Institute; and BA in Economics at UC Berkeley,
