He also serves on the Board of Trustees of The Music Hall Center (Detroit), La MaMa Theatre (New York), Shen Wei Dance Arts (New York), Jazz St. Louis, The Saint Louis Symphony Orchestra and The Freer-Sackler Museum of the Smithsonian Institution.
Mr. Carey attended the University of Chicago and received his B.A. from Columbia College, Columbia University.
