Francis Shields joined Kennedy in 2001 as Vice President, Asset Management.
His responsibilities include management of multiple projects in the development phase as well as stabilized assets.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Shields was Vice President of Acquisitions and Dispositions - Eastern United States for Cornerstone Properties Inc., in New York.
Over five years, he completed $1.7 billion in acquisitions and $300 million dispositions.
During his tenure, the company grew into one of the five largest U.S.
office REITs.
Prior to that position, he spent two years as an Assistant Vice President of Asset Management, Acquisitions and Capital Markets for Deutsche Bank Realty Advisors in New York.
His responsibilities included the asset management of 1.2 million square feet of class A office space.
Previously, he spent two years at Edward S.
Gordon Company where he re-developed a 350,000 square foot Manhattan office tower.
Mr. Shields began his career at General Electric Company as a sales engineer in their power distribution business.
Mr. Shields has an MBA degree from Cornell University and holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts.
