Bender joined Woodbury Financial in May 2011 as the firm's vice president of acquisition and retention.
A long-standing business-building expert in the industry, Mr. Bender is accountable for expanding Woodbury's overall growth strategy.
Gary believes Woodbury's value proposition, which highlights a low cost expense model, state-of- the-art Advisory platform, and outstanding customer service model and culture, is a leading differentiator for advisers.
Mr. Bender looks forward to building the firm's Office of Supervisory Jurisdiction (OSJ) platform and growing Woodbury Financial Services as a leading broker-dealer for independent financial professionals.
Mr. Bender has over 27 years of industry experience in recruiting, leadership, branding and advertising, business development, and the growth and retention of reps.
Prior to joining Woodbury, Mr. Bender held various leadership roles charged with expanding recruiting efforts to include broker-dealer acquisitions, recruiting branch offices, building business development programs, and developing national advertising campaigns.
Mr. Bender attended Kent State University and holds NASD Series 7, 24, and 63 licenses.
