Mr. Patrick McCloskey is a Managing Director at StormHarbour Securities LP since 2010.
Prior to founding Evolution’s Merchant Banking business, Mr. McCloskey co-managed Lazard's Private Placement Group from New York and London where he was a Managing Director jointly responsible for sourcing, structuring and marketing private financing transactions on a global basis.
He joined Lazard's London office where he was tasked to build the Firm's private placement business in Europe while developing relationships with a broad spectrum of institutional investors and family offices.
Mr. McCloskey, a citizen of both the UK and US, joined Lazard from Credit Suisse where he led that firm's private capital markets expansion into Europe.
Prior to his move to London, he was active in helping to expand the Donaldson Lufkin & Jenrette (acquired by Credit Suisse) Private Placement Group in the US.
Prior to joining DLJ, he spent three years at the Lehman Brothers Private Equity Placement Group in New York where he was a co-founder.
During his investment banking career, he has participated in more than 70 private financings – as both principal and agent – representing over $2.5bn of capital for public and private companies, across a variety of industries including real estate, financial services, energy, technology, telecom and business services and geographic regions including North and South America, Europe, the Middle East, India and Australia.
Prior to working at Lehman, Patrick practiced law with a commercial litigation focus.
Mr. McCloskey received his law degree from Fordham University School of Law and an undergraduate degree in Finance, cum laude, from Georgetown University.
