Following seven years in commercial banking, he joined BancBoston Ventures' London office in 1989 focusing on leveraged buyouts.
In 1993 he joined BancBoston Ventures' early stage IT team in Boston and led its software investments for 8 years.
During his tenure, he led and managed 25 investments and generated nearly $500 million in realized capital gains.
Representative investments included HTE, WayPoint, Internet Capital Group, Allaire and Silknet.
He continues to leverage his enterprise software domain expertise at Longworth.
Mr. Roberts earned his MBA from the University of New Hampshire and his BA from Southern Connecticut State College.
He is on the boards of DFA Capital Management, Genesis Networks, iJET Intelligent Risk Systems, Innovectra, Parlano, and uTest.
