Sanders, CFA MBA, is a Senior Vice President & Senior Portfolio Manager at Whittier Trust Co. In addition to being co-manager of our Small Cap investment strategy, he is a member of our Investment Committee and is responsible for analyzing Consumer Discretionary companies for the core equity strategies.
He manages portfolios for both taxable and tax-exempt entities and is based in Pasadena office.
Prior to joining Whittier Trust, Mr. Sanders was a Senior Associate at Citi in New York covering multiple equity sectors including Property and Casualty Insurance, Asset Managers and other financial industries, as well as Automotive Manufacturer and Parts & Equipment Suppliers.
Prior to that, he worked for Bessemer Trust in the Client Account Management group in Los Angeles supporting the management of client relationships throughout the western United States.
He began his career as a Pricing Analyst at First Magnus Financial Corporation in Tucson.
He received his MBA from Columbia Business School with an emphasis in Finance.
He earned his Bachelor’s degree with a double major in Finance and Marketing from the University of Arizona.
He is a CFA charterholder, a graduate of the Cannon Financial Institute’s Trust School and received the Certified Trust and Financial Advisor designation.
